Frequently asked

How does Artha actually copy trades?
When a creator you follow places a trade in their brokerage, our SnapTrade integration picks it up within a few minutes — we poll every broker on a tight cycle during market hours. We size the order relative to your account, apply your safety limits, and send you a push notification. On the Pro desk tier you tap Approve and the order routes to your brokerage; on Signals you receive the alert and place the trade yourself.
What's the difference between Signals and Pro desk?
Signals sends you a push notification on every trade — you place it yourself in your own broker. Pro desk prepares the order for you with proportional sizing inside your safety limits, then waits for you to tap Approve before routing it to your brokerage. Both tiers keep you in control of every fill. You can switch between them from your subscription settings.
Where do payouts come from?
Subscribers pay through Stripe. Artha keeps a flat 15% platform fee and the rest goes directly to the creator’s Stripe Connect account. Payouts arrive on your normal Stripe schedule — usually within 2 business days of each charge.
What if my brokerage disconnects?
Brokerage connections can break (passwords expire, brokers change APIs, accounts get flagged). When that happens, Artha stops placing new trades and you’ll see a banner prompting a reconnect. Existing positions in your account are unaffected.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Open Subscriptions, pick the creator, and tap Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then, and you’re not charged again.
Is the Pro desk available outside the US?
For now, Pro desk is US-only. Signals subscriptions (push + Discord) are available globally. We’re expanding broker coverage market by market — check the supported brokers list for the latest.
Can my members subscribe inside Discord?
Yes. Once you’ve installed the Artha bot in your server, any member can type /subscribe @yourhandle and the bot DMs them a private checkout link. Card entry happens on a polished Artha page; the moment Stripe confirms the payment, the member gets your tier role in Discord and the trade-alerts channel unlocks for them — no separate Discord-link OAuth step.
What happens if Discord roles get out of sync?
Open your studio Discord settings and hit Resync. Artha walks every active subscription for your shop, re-grants the correct tier role, removes roles for cancelled members, and cleans up any orphan role-holders who shouldn’t have access. You can also remove individual members from the same page when you need to hard-ban someone after a refund.
Can I offer a free Discord role for community members who aren't paying?
Yes. Set a Follow role in your Discord configuration and add a Follow button to your profile — anyone who clicks it joins your server with that role and shows up in your subscriber list as a free follower. Signals and Pro desk stay paid; Follow is the top-of-funnel that converts later.
How do I map a Discord role to a subscription tier?
When you edit a tier under Studio → Shop → Edit product, the Discord role dropdown auto-lists every role in your server (highest position first, matching your Discord sidebar). Pick one and anyone who subscribes to that tier gets the role granted automatically; cancelling revokes it. We hide @everyone and bot-managed roles because assigning either wouldn’t do anything. Not seeing the dropdown? Connect Discord first from Studio → Discord settings.
How do I create a new Discord role for a new tier?
Two ways:

From Artha (recommended). Under the Discord role dropdown in Studio → Shop → Edit product, click + New role in Discord. Enter a name, hit Create, and the role is created in your server via the Artha bot and auto-selected for the tier. Customize color, hoist, and mentionable inside Discord afterwards.

From Discord directly. Open Discord → Server Settings → Roles → Create Role, name it, and save. Return to Studio → Shop → Edit product and refresh the page — the new role appears in the dropdown. (We fetch the role list once per render, so a reload is needed to pick up roles added outside Artha.)

Both paths require the Artha bot to have Manage Roles in your server. It ships with that permission on install; if a server admin has revoked it, reconnect Discord from Studio → Settings → Discord.

Can subscribers get trade alerts as Discord DMs?
Yes. From their subscription settings, members can opt into private DM alerts from the Artha bot. They’ll receive the same trade embed delivered straight to their inbox — instead of, or alongside, the public channel post. Useful for VIP members who want the signal first without sifting through chat.
